Description

This coin are part of the great lineage of the 1849 gold rush, which made possible an increase in American minting of coins. These coins were printed at the turn of the century, a time when anything was possible and their designs are a testament to that legacy. Due to the fact that many were melted when President Franklin D. Roosevelt recalled gold coins from the public in 1933, this coin is increasingly rare. Made from a 90% gold (0.900 fine = 21.6 kt) and 10% copper alloy and have a total weight of 1.0750 troy ounces (33.4362 grams).
