Description

This coin used the same Liberty Head design as others from the same period, as intentioned by mint engraver Christian Gobrecht. Though over 130,000 of these coins were minted, not all survived the melting down of gold coins by Franklin D. Roosevelt, so these are increasingly rare. 

Graded MSS63 by PCGS.
