Peter Keil Artist Bio - Influenced by German Expressionism and graffiti elements, Peter Keil is known for his simplified abstractions of traditional art subjects. He studied under the famous German artist, Otto Nagel, at a young age and there are many similarities between their work. Keil also developed relationships with world-renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, and Joan Miró. Keil’s works have been featured in many exhibits and museums across the world, including an exhibit for Palma de Mallorca’s Galerie 4 Gats in which Keil promoted his artwork alongside Picasso and Miró. The market for Keil’s artwork continues to grow as the public learns more and more about his wild life as a member of the most famous artists’ circle in the world. Many of his paintings are influenced by the company he kept at the time - Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, the Beatles, and Mick Jagger were some of the figures known to “hang” around Keil’s mansion in Mallorca.”
