Large classically shaped Amphorae – a pale brown/gray/red with tiny white/lime bits terracotta container having an elongated, slightly ribbed conical body tapering to a peg toe, two handles pinched at an upper angle and a hollowed rounded shoulder merging with a narrow neck biconical rim.
11" W x 19 1/2" H (match label #3 for pickup)
The main terracotta body with a good patina and remains of a pale brown/gray/red glaze with tiny white/lime bits, the whole surviving from the early twentieth century. Structurally sound antique condition with normal imperfections, as wear commensurate with age and use. Encrustations of the find gives this piece a very special charm.
