Description

Circa 1830, Philadelphia. Comprising brass & iron tongs & shovel, with an  brass stand with marble base. The marble is from quarry at King of Prussia PA. near Valley Forge. An identical marble base with round depressions and straight gauges is illustrated in "The Brass Book" by Schiffer.
